Hi,

After estimating the stories at the planning meeting, we pick 2 of the
best known ones and estimate their tasks in hours.
Then I select them and click "Calculate story point/time" to calculate
the ratios and finally "Confirm commitment".

That is the proper procedure, right?

But I get a strange behavior with the burndown chart whenever I close
a story without tasks.
The actual burdown line drops the correct amount, but ALWAYS ON THE
FIRST DAY of the sprint, regardless of the actual date the story was
closed.
That results on a flat line that keeps getting closer to the bottom.

The only way I found to get a burndown that reflects the reality is
to:
Right after "Confirm commitment" add a "wildcard" task to each story
with the all the remaining time as calculated with "Calculate story
point/time".
Then, when someone is really going to work on that story, he/she
creates the real tasks an reassign the time from the "wildcard" task.

What am I doing wrong?
How shold I use it?

Thank you,

Gatto
