Your guess is correct - the problem however is in trac itself. You can
not declare a "custom field" (business field is such a field) as
integer. Internally they are strings so you need to fix trac.
Hence the appropriate place to report that is trac.edgewall.org. Please
mention 'custom select fields' instead of "business value" which is the
term for the trac functionality.
