The contingents can be displayed with the little battery icon in the left area of the backlog toolbar. You'll have to add a contingent to the sprint before though via the menu on the sprint page (linked from the Roadmap). What other tools are you missing? PS: Better not try to disable the new backlog, but help make it better. In the next release, the old view is gone completely.
