Usually, the whiteboard will display all tasks that are part of a story
within that story and all others within the area called "Tasks without
stories". Are the tasks maybe hidden in a collapsed story? Do the
counters top of the columns add up to 4 or simply show 1?
To debug the issue, you could install and open Firebug in Firefox or use
Chrome/Chromium's web developer toolkit and see if any JavaScript error
message appears.
If none of this is fruitful, you could also send over the JSON of your
backlog as displayed by <trac_url>/json/sprints/<sprint_name>/backlog
