We treat bugs very similary to stories in terms of estimation. just add the calculated field "total_remaining_time" so the backlog would show how much effort is estimated to fix it (we find that one very useful)
We also link bugs to stories, or at least use "refs #xxx" in the description/comment in order to link back to stories or stories back to bugs.
