Yes, there is no automated way to do this.
We are using remaining time correctly but looking back over a sprint
afterwards, I have no way of knowing how big (in time) the original
value was apart from checking what "Remaining time" was first set to
in the comments.
You can, but only for the whole sprint, by looking at the burndown chart.
Ideally, I would like to historically track the number of hours
assigned to the sprint at start time either on a task or story level
From a Scrum perspective, what value would this give you?
