As a pirate (in an MMO game), I have to point out that most pirates
fly black colors, and would NEVER refer to the colors as a
"pennant." The slang term is "sheet," for ex-navy the term is
"ensign," and for landlubbers the term is "flag." But "pennant" --
never.
