They're legal fictions defined by the contract, referencing the rules
of Agora.  That doesn't make them part of Agora.  Partnerships are a
type of contract that are permitted to participate as players, but
that doesn't make their inner workings a part of the game state, just
as my digestive system is not part of the game state.  Similarly for
contests.
