I've been pondering scrapping Notes in favor of something simpler, for
several reasons:
* Transposition
* Prediction of near-future earnings
* Keys (Conductor recordkeeping is more complex; advantage of
earning notes from diverse sources is reduced, though not
completely eliminated)
* Note Exchange contract (does it completely defeat the intended
2-for-1 transfer rate, assuming optimal usage?)
* Desire to revive the Oligarchy in some form
* Large number of contract-defined currencies
