Quite so. Here are the details: Inquiry cases - practically assigned when initiation recorded, legally assigned when assignment published. These generally match chronological order. Equity cases - practically assigned when initiation recorded, legally assigned when parties formally informed. Criminal cases - practically assigned when initiation (now with 2 support) recorded, legally assigned when defendant formally informed. These are most likely to be recorded out of chronological order, as I move the intent/support/initiation messages to separate sub-folders and then process them all at once (or clear them out if the initiation doesn't happen within 14 days after initial intent). Appeal cases - irrelevant, no ID numbers.
