Here's a better system that adds some automatic gameplay.

Everyone gets N seeds per month, Officers an extra M.  When you register, 
you get P seeds.  Seeds decay (hoarding only semi-successful).  If decay 
is exponential there can be a steady state but with bursts.

Every month, Q acorns where Q << # of players are auctioned off with
auction currency = seeds.

Finally, every so often acorns go away, too (otherwise new players will
be left out after a bit).

This type of competition invites active participation; just being able
to destroy each others' acorns doesn't do much (who decreased anyone
elses VP in the past when it was possible?)

And if this repeal passes, can we choose a name other than Ordinary finally
as that will be gone from the ruleset?
