scshunt mentioned once or twice on IRC recently that the yoyo backup list is not functioning. Indeed, the website 404s, and I just tested the email functionality by sending messages to both [email protected] and (in case the list was cleared out but still up for some reason) [email protected], to no response. Accordingly, I'm guessing it's dead and gone, so unless someone wants to get in touch with the students (still?) running the server at Monash University, I suggest starting the process to remove it from the list of public fora. Could add a new backup, but I think one is enough anyway.
I have no idea when it went down, but the last message I received from it was on 2014-4-29, a piece of spam. If I understand things correctly, that list was the original home of Agora, and provided its original name. RIP. For the sake of posterity, the archive page seems to still be up (unlike the main list info page): http://yoyo.its.monash.edu.au/pipermail/nomic/ I've started mirroring it and will figure out where to keep it in the long term... at some point.
