[ This is only really for Derek; because only he has the config files
needed to make the code work, but we'll be working on getting it to all
of you as soon as it's ready. ]

Preliminary results -- refactored code that uses function overriding to
ensure only the bare minimum footprint on the normal QuakeC/AGRIP code
-- are now available at:

http://oblique.agrip.org.uk/~matatk/overkill-code-20051218.zip

Drop it into your zquake/qc/ directory (next to the agrip/ gamecode
directory) and you should be able to compile it from that directory,
with zqcc.

I have temporarily called the mod ``overkill'' but we can easily change
that (I have a recursive search-and-replace tool :-)).

I've noticed we need an extra hook for the ImpulseCommands -- no point
in making people have to override that function as it is likely to be
done in every mod -- so I'll make a hook for it and update your code
accordingly soon (i.e. don't treat this as final, just wanted to let you
know how I'm going on and give you something to experiment with).

I will work on the installer and packaging when I can. When that's
done, everyone will be able to try it.

best regards,
