Thank you for the info, but it doesn't work eitherway... I downloaded
deluserlex.exe, executed it (but nothing happened) and after 2 minutes I
rebooted my machine, same issue...

Hi Nick, here's something you can try. Search on Google or whatever
search engine you like for a file called
deluserlex.exe
This is a utility which can repair Narrator and msapi voices with Win
XP. You simply run it and after a min or two, reboot your system and you
should be good to go.
I had this same issue a few weeks ago, and this repaired it.
If you can't locate the file, I'd also be happy to send it to you.
