actually there is a way, I used hal 5.21 admittedly.
Leave every default as is.
do not download the mindgrid or anything.
then install the game.
If you want to you can download the mindgrid seperately and thats a good idea.
Every file of that install is on a cd.
I have a configured id1 folder on my hard drive. and on my external
backup drive.
The only things I need to reload after loading aq and the backed up
folder are the mods and configuring autoexec.cfg and connecting to
tbrn to get sounds from the servers.
