If a stun beam is a beam of energy like a blaster beam, some sort of coherent energy envelope or packet, presumably held together by monopolar charged particles or some other such cute trick ... then it would be deflected by the type of static field energy of a light sabre. Or, I could just be a geek.

Hi Shaun, thanks for your feedback! <smile> As for the stun gun, that's not a bug. Anyone can be stunned whether or not they're using a saber. That's not something that just the bots can do. <smile>

But I do see your point. However, the only times I saw a stun gun in use in the films were with Leah and R2. So as for them being deflectable by a light saber, the jury's still out as far as I'm concerned! lol! But I'll definitely give it some thought as well as ask for others feedback on that.

As for everything else you've asked for, no prob at all. I'll note it and create keys for it all in the next release.

Thanks so much for your note!... Have a great day!...

Cara

The bots are really hard to beat.
Another bug with the mod is the fact that even with the saber the stun gun can still work.
This shouldn't be the case.
It is a laser weapon like the blaster is.
I know that in return of the gedy, luke could deflect blaster shots.
Its an unfair advantage if you can get stunned even with a saber.
The bots are hard to beat.
I have on the odd occation killed one or 2 that were not paying attention.
I don't care if I wated or if I got the versions now.
However I do want the single player and deathmatch versions though.
Also a key for the force powers, and the detinater and emp system.
I would like the sp and dm versions though, the sp has no tornts or death messages.
That would cut it down a load.
I also would like a key for telegrenades.

Hi All, well for the past few days I've been observing on tbrn, while the bots play each other and while they play humans.

They're pretty scary and I'm wondering what others think?...

They're fairly close to how they'll be in the next release of Jedi Quake so I'm looking for feedback.

I plan to have some additional skill levels for them, where they'll use the weapons / force powers as they now do on tbrn, and the skill levels will be able to dial that back a bit if necessary. Do you all think this is an appropriate skill for their highest level at present?... I personally think they're pretty difficult adversaries at this point... <smile>

  What do you all think?...

I want them to be fun, and not just over the top impossible to beat. <smile> So I'd like to hear your impressions from those just starting out, vs those who've been playing for a while...

And would you all be into this next release being just these bot improvements or would you like to wait a few more days / couple of weeks so I can add another force power? What I'd like to do is to release this version now, and then add three or so, force powers in the next one which, incidentally, should only be a short time in coming...

Anyway, lemme know what y'all think and have fun gaming!...

Smiles,

Cara
