Hi everyone,

The situation is looking positive regarding Matthew. He's been moved from
IC into an orthopedics ward. There, he's recovering slowly. They think
he'll be there for at least a few more weeks, apparently, but he is already
looking forward very much to getting out. He'll have to be in a wheelchair
for a bit afterwards and may later be confined to a walking aid as well.

A few friends of ours are going down to the hospital soon to give him our
wishes and some audio entertainment to keep him happy. He is a bit bored,
especially because he can't easily read under the conditions. There's
always a chance that he might be able to use both his hands (one is still a
bit sore) when they've healed enough so he might be able to use
computers/televisions/telephones when the sideeffects of the treatment are
worn off.

Anyway, I'll keep you posted as and when, as usual. Needless to say, I'm
quite hopeful and optimistic. As long as no further complications are
sighted and he doesn't get moved again, he'll be alright. Matthew, of all
of us, is probably the one most eager to get back in spite of everything.
His confinement and boredom will be made up by his full recovery, at the
very least!

Cheers,
Sabahattin
