Hi All, it may be a bit short
notice, but would any of you be interested in doing the first of several
chat sessions this Saturday at about 11 AM PST? It's a good time for me
so I thought I'd put it out there. What do you think?
I have a room on team talk called Cara's Corner or we could use the
Blind Cool Tech chat room for those who can't do team talk.
Please let me know your thoughts if you would. Thanks so much. I'm
figuring on about an hour and a half for the first one and we'll see how
it goes.
Now, on to my second point. I've uploaded the files you'll need for the
sessions at:

The QC Manual is up there, along with a zip file called AQ Code and
Compiler which you'll also need, which contains a clean, unmodified copy
of the Audio Quake code along with the compiler and batch file to make a
working copy of the game.
For the first session, I'm figuring we'll simply start with the anatomy
of the QC code and how to compile and work with it.
We'll also cover data types, variables, functions and some basic
statements.
As I'd mentioned, I'd like this to be very QNA based so no worries on
time and such. If we don't get to everything or get farther along than
I'd planned then so be it. <smile> I would however like to make this
interesting and enjoyable for coders of all experience levels so we should
be aware of our entire group and that we all get a chance to ask the
questions we need to so we can get a good understanding of things.
Anyway, again, let me know your thoughts and I hope this time slot will
work for you at least this week...
