Hi All, just a quick note; you can use whatever sounds you like at whatever pitches you'd like. You only need replace the sounds that the game currently uses with files with the same file names. Anyone who might like to release an alternate sound pack as Ken has already put together would most certainly be invited to. I for one prefer the sounds as they are, but perhaps there are some other configurations that people might feel work better for them.

Smiles,

Cara

Also, can we include the num pad keys?
About navigation
If you've played quake long enough, you'll notice that all those high beeps get annoying very quickly--so all you have to do is to lower them about two octaves. They will seem quieter and will not distract you from game play in the slightest.

could we extend the key set to include, shift, alt, and control and combinations of those, eg shift up shift alt up or shift alt control up etc.
I am running out of keys for all the new jedy mods.
Can we include a way to enable cheats by typing in an impulse or having an impulse associated with the cheats on or off? Can we have something to adjust the volume of our nav scanners as even at low volumes they are to loud.

I think that trying to add only the few keys that are necessary for a
mod is best, as the user may have changed some of the default ones.
Actually, that's what mod.cfg is there for: so as to interfere with what
the user wants as little as possible.

bye just now,
