Hi Matt and for that matter everyone else too:
I've been playing with the latest linux beta of aq and so far, I got
the launcher to work fine, but still not able to play the game due to
the display not being able to start. Don't know if anyone else is
getting this since I don't know if there are any others using linux on
here, if so, and there's a way to disable graphical output please let
me know. As for an earlier bug in the installer, it wouldn't copy the
manual into the directory, but it does now, so that's a good thing, and
finally, since I couldn't play the game, and didn't want to gripe about
what I couldn't do and not be able to fix it, I did the only thing a
good beginner should do, and that was, play with the part I could get
to work so I have set up a beginners' server, which can be connected to
by doing
connect deathpool.servequake.com
from the console. It's standard aq and I just went to play there a bit
ago, and it works. Also showed up on the stats page so you can do the
ip address thing too. Thanks much to the Agrip team for a rockin'
