Cool beans! The reason for this, is that Quake reads different configs depending on whether it is running locally or as a server. I.E. the local settings are located in the mod.cfg file, or autoexec.cfg, and the server settings are located in the server.cfg...

This is why I didn't include this info / config in the JQ mod itself, as it's only necessary when running a server...

Hello Cara,
That works. I've tried it and it does.
For some odd reason, i thought defining it in jq's own configuration would be enough, and now that you said, its obvious of course.
Thanks for the help,

Hi Steven, allowing the bots is one thing, but controlling their number
on a server is another. For that, you'll need to add the following to your
server.cfg file.

// Edit

// This caps the total number of bots on the server

serverinfo num_bots 4

This will limit the total number of bots that can be on the server at
any one time, to four...

I've added the above code right under where the bots skill is set.

If you're using JQ, try this and see if it makes a diff...

If not, then we'll see what else we can do, K?

Let me know how it goes, if you would...

   Have a great day!...

Smiles,

Cara
