It seems I'm sending these out roughly once a week, hence the title,
hehe. Unfortunately Sebby is still offline. I have been making more
steady (but slow, due to many medical appointments and work) progress on
the MAUTH and stats site side of things.
I was hoping to get that finished off today, as I am away from tomorrow
until Thursday, but sadly the locals decided to throw a small rock
through my window and I have had to deal with the Police and landlord
instead. Sorry that this has meant I won't be able to work on AQ for
the best part of this week. I am annoyed because, for once, I had both
the time and energy and the opportunity was ruined.
Believe it or not, we are very close to having all of the loose ends
tied up and I do hope that when I come back I will be able to finish
things off from my end and then, when Sebby's back online, he'll be able
to sort out the Windows/Vidnull compilation errors and we can, finally,
make the 0.3.0 release!
In the meantime, it is great to see the people on the list still posting
stuff! I hope that when we make the 0.3.0 release it will give you all
a good platform to build your own stuff on top of, and have more fun. I
also hope to be able to work on accessible level descriptions after that
point, so that we can give you all the tools you need to create a 3D
game yourselves.
Thanks once again for your continuing patience and support; I do hope
that when I return from the short break I'm going on, I'll be able to
code uninterrupted by projectile damage (and pretty much anything else).
bye just now,
best regards,
Matthew
