Onj, you need to use the -left or -right to release the left or right commands you're sending before you use another +left or +right command. Does this make any sense?...

this is why it's locking up...

Here, for your reference, are my two 90 degree aliases.

alias "Left90" "+left;wait;-left;wait;+left;wait;-left;wait;+left;wait;-left;wait;+left;wait;-left" alias "Right90" "+right;wait;-right;wait;+right;wait;-right;wait;+right;wait;-right;wait;+right;wait;-right"

Notice that they end with a -left or -right command. This means that that function is then basically released and can then be called again...

Hope this helps and talk witcha on the flippers! *yawn* Need to sleep soon!...

Hi listers and such.
I've never until this point even tried playing with macrows because basically I was too damn lazy to consider it. However I wanted something to do, so I attempted to take just some, not all, of Bryan's hard work and implement it in my config.cfg as follows:

alias "TurnLeft" "+left;wait;-left;wait;wait;impulse 68;wait;impulse 67"
alias "TurnRight" "+right;wait;-right;wait;wait;impulse 68;wait;impulse 67"
Then I had two binds:

//bind . "TurnLeft"
//bind / "TurnRight"

Pretty straight forward, right? The arrows still do the standard thing, but if I use either . or / to turn with my aliases, I can't use my standard left and right arrows or for that matter my binds again, unless I totally restart quake. I wanted to make the binds turn me through 45 degrese so it would've been
//bind . "TurnLeft;TurnLeft;TurnLeft;TurnLeft"
(without the commented parts) but I had no such luck. What did I do wrong?
Oh and btw I'm not trying to discredit Bryan here because I know it's pointless for him to write such an in-depth email just to have lyed about it, but I think I must have missread how to do aliases and such and it's my fault not his as to why my arrows lock up. I commented the lines because if I accidentally knock one of those keys in the game, that's it, I have to close out and reload and I don't want that. So until I figure out what's wrong, they're commented. I'd really like to at least try macrows though, only to say well yes OK I've done it, and I liek it, or else yes I've done it, and I can play perfectly well and in brackets so read carefully, (Still beat Bryan without them and not wine and wine and wine and wine and wine and wine and wine and wine about it), so there you have it. Help appreciated. Much thanks.

PS. Rotfl to the whole f**kin thread as it stands!
