I have recently found out that I will be out of action for about 2
months from the 11th of July, as I will be undergoing another serious
operation. As a result, I am going to be doing everything I can to
ensure that my part of the remaining work on AQ (MAUTH and Stats and
Servers site) are finished before I go in. Sebby may still be hacking
around with vidnull on Windows so we can build a proper new release, but
we hope that won't take months!
The end result is that I hope I will have finished these things and as
much of the developer documentation to go with them as possible by
mid-July and, if all goes to plan, that means the final release of 0.3.0
and, therefore, a platform for you to make your own games with and do
what you will with, will finally have happened.
So, wish us all luck to get this done for you and when I return I will
start work on level editing issues for the blind -- no small task, but I
hope to make some contribution in this area as part of my research.
I will not be contactable this weekend and next weekend Sebby will be
staying with me (this will be the first time we've met in years). I
hope to have some more news for you next week, though.
Thanks for your continued support. I hope that we get this plan
executed well and that you can all be using a stable development
platform whilst I'm high on all the drugs they're going to feed me for
the rest of summer, hehe.
Hopefully we'll have some newsworthy stuff to report to you next week.
