I believe that I have found the cause of a crash that has been occurring 
in the vidnull version of the game on Windows.  It appears to be that 
the game is trying to draw certain things (like the menu) that is not 
possible to do when running in vidnull mode.  The function call that 
triggered the crash appears to be R_DrawPic, for those that are 
interested :-).

We should be able to investigate this further shortly and hopefully get 
the problem fixed so that more of you can try the RC releases.
