I use them because, for me, it allows me to have more options for instantaneous movement. Not only do I have up four compass directions, but I have keys that turn my player right angles or 45 degree angles, jump, fire the hook, drop a detonator, etc. all in a very logical arrangement that bears some resemblance to the cursor movement system used in some screenreaders. It also frees up the rest of the keys for other stuff.
An example of how to bind then would look something like bind KP_2 +forward bind KP_8 +back bind KP_4 +left bind KP_6 +right ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sebastian Dellit" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "AGRIP User and Developer discussion list" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, October 18, 2007 7:20 AM Subject: Re: [AGRIP-discuss] use num keys > Hello Mark and all readers, > > on Thursday, October 18, 2007 at 4:19:04 PM means Mark BurningHawk: >> Hello, I use the desktop keyboard's num pad for directional and some >> firing >> controls all the time. > > Why do you do?
