Both of you are right in that the compass can only cope with a certain number of directions and will go to the nearest one it can, reverting to degrees rather than compass directions if need be. I don't believe your turn value will be overridden by the map, rather the system is giving you slightly off information.
I will try to fix this when I can, but for the next week (but particularly the next few days) I'm trying to get an improved release of LDL and the survey for it finished. I hope to get those out by or at worst on Monday at the latest, so as to give you 6 days to fill it in. Once again I realise it's short notice but I've done my very best to get it done quickly and really hope that as many of you as possible will be able to give it a go -- we won't be asking majorly detailed stuff -- just trying to justify taking development of it further. I shouldn't say any more until the questions are there.
