It does have some rough edges, in that the speech can overlap itself because the only current way to use Apple's speech synth from the commandline is not very customisable and works in a different way to how our synths on Windows and Linux work. However, it is usable and it will work for the purposes of you testing LDL -- which I'm about to compile, successfully I hope. You can get the MacOS version from our downloads page. When you've saved it, you'll need to open a terminal and issues the following commands, to make the installer runable and then run it. chmod +x AudioQuake-0.3.0.2_mac-x86.run ./AudioQuake-0.3.0.2_mac-x86.run You should be able to follow the instructions and have it all work fine.
