Hi,

Try changing the nix_talker string under [nix] in start.ini to pipe to 
your new location.  If your dectalk is on a serial port I suppose you 
could replace it with >/dev/ttyS0, but that's only going from memory as 
I am new to linux too.  Espeak will talk of you replace the string with 
|espeak, but you mioght want to coment out the prefix and suffix lines 
unless you want each message to start with "tts_say."

I am definitely not the best at making things clear, and like I said I 
am new at this too, but hopefully I was of some help.
