Well, I've kind of narrowed it down, and no, now that I've played with
it, I don't think it's ldl spacific either, what I've done was to put
the ldl-made map into the maps folder on the server, which I've done in
both linux and windows, with identical results.
When I log onto the server with another computer, if I've not got a
copy of the map in question on the client machine, I get a
ghost_error_can't finde map error, but if I do have it onboth client
and server, then the map plays just fine now. I don't know why that
didn't use to work but now it does. So the problem now, would seem to
be the allow download options in the server. I also just to see what
would happen, moved the agdm02 map to another folder the client machine
couldn't find, and got the same error. So in short, I'm happy that ldl
is working, because now I can try out more ideas I got for maps. I'll
send an archive to you with my qconsole log from both a server and
client machine, as well as my server.cfg file probabaly some time
tomorrow u.s. as I work graveyard shift, and encourage anyone to log
onto either the deathpool server or the other one I'll leave running
for test purposes... the test one won't be as much time between map
changes and has a low fraglimit so more data can be grabbed in a short time.
That all said, thanks again... I'm off to go outside and enjoy a
rockin' good day with me guide puppy... it's all nice and warm here,
anyway... cheereo!
