It gets better... Just this last weekend I have come back from a 2- day stay in hospital. I had not been well for a few weeks and it got a lot worse. It seems I am over the worst of it now but am still not 100% and have yet more pressure at work caused by this.
We've got to the stage where we really need genuine and long-term help to run the AGRIP project -- it would be such a shame to see all of the work, especially the recent progress with level-editing, go to waste and it really hurts that real life means I just can't do it all anymore. I would love to continue working on LDL and not have to worry about updating documentation and code for things like AQ and SnS. The point has been recently made that the website is out-of-date and doesn't mention MODs available and so on. It needs attention too (but when it was a user-editable Wiki nobody bothered to edit it, hence I took that off-line to save myself the administrative burden). Basically we need help so that AGRIP can develop and continue to provide resources for my research -- which I need to concentrate on as much as possible right now. We've already had some offers of help from the community and now it's a case of checking they are still open and trying to get some extra developers on board (I'll be looking into other communities we may be able to draw on soon). Due to lack of time at the moment we're really looking for people with experience but over time I hope that many more will be welcomed into the team -- we switched to Launchpad to make managing the project much easier in the future and now's the time to capitalise on that. Thanks to all of you for your patience and support. -- Matthew Tylee Atkinson http://mta.agrip.org.uk/ _______________________________________________ AGRIP-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.agrip.org.uk/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/agrip-discuss
