Hi there Think I mentioned this a little while ago, but hadn't as such gotten around to testing it, but now, when I turned on the graphical rendering for AudioQuake, I also tried it out with the vOICe - SeeingWithSound - using one of it's built-in bits of functionality where it renders parts of the GUI, and in this case I was using the Sonify GUI|Active window option, and it seems to work fine, but just now need to figure out how to turn it's volume down slightly, but apart from that, for example, in the tutorial, where just using AQ itsself, once you turn towards the wall on the right (I assume that's what it is), the vOICe in fact tells you that there's something there a bit before the time, but it's sound also changes as you turn more.
Anyway, if you're interested in checking it out, go to: http://www.seeingwithsound.com/winvoice.htm It's also free software, and there are versions to run on both PCs as well as a version I run on my mobile phone, and it can also do some simple things like colour recognition, and has exercise modes to train your brain to 'recognise' it's output - including playing a version of tic-tac-toe/noughts and crosses using it in exercise mode. Anyway, hope this is of interest Stay well Jacob Kruger Blind Biker Skype: BlindZA '...Fate had broken his body, but not his spirit...' _______________________________________________ AGRIP-discuss mailing list [email protected] http://lists.agrip.org.uk/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/agrip-discuss
