I'm afraid I don't run any Linux at the moment because my desktop broke and I can't afford to fix it right now so I am using my PowerBook exclusively. It is running Leopard. I might be able to try the latest Ubuntu on it at some point -- will have to see if that is possible.
I am not sure if Sebby is running Linux at the moment -- he may be able to help. I will let you know if I find out. I'm not sure how it can be logging you out of your X session -- if an X program crashes it should just pop and disappear.
