Fucking fire. Yep, that's me. The reason I use the fire grenades is because
players with little or no actual skill or concept of the game sit in a corner
and stun and hook people, then gain overwhelming strength and never actually
learn to play the game. It's obnoxious, it's unfair to the rest of the players
and it makes for a very unenjoyable game for everyone I've talked to.

At least with the fire grenades acid thrower or saber darts, you can still try
and land on health; with the stun as it is now, there is only one way I've
found to beat it; that's to jump and spin like mad so the hooking person
(hooker? heh) can't get a lock on you. This works most times, as I've
demonstrated *REPEATEDLY!*, but people still insist, because they don't
actually know how to play the game, on stunning and hooking repeatedly, over
and over.

I won't use the fire grenades if people don't use the stun and hook thing; but
until such time as that happens, then yes, it's me and the fucking fire for
everyone.

(having ranted on about this, now, *EVERYONE!* will now try and stun and hook
me. :) )

Now. As for how to make the game work on the Mac. Download Andre's "Portable
audio quake," zip file, unzip it into a folder called "zquake," on your Mac's
root. Then go into Terminal on the Mac, and type
cd zquake
./start.pl

Cara helped me set this up a LONG time ago, and I may be missing a step here,
which is why I haven't spoken up before, in fact I probably am. I hope Cara
will be getting back into the development side soon, but who knows, she's real
busy.

Sorry I can't be of more help.
