Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu
Mawaqit As-Salat - 29th Jumada-ath-Thani 1423 (8 September 2002) Narrated by Abdullah (Radhiallaho anho): I asked the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) "Which deed is the dearest to Allah?" He (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) replied, "To offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times." I asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" He (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) replied, "To be good and dutiful to your parents." I again asked, "What is the next (in goodness)?" He (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) replied, "To participate in Jihad in Allah's cause." 'Abdullah added, "I asked only that much and if I had asked more, the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) would have told me more."
