Actions in Prayer - 21st Rajab 1424 (19 September 2003) Narrated by Abdullah (Radhiallaho anho): We used to greet the Prophet (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) while he was praying and he (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) used to answer our greetings. When we returned from An-Najashi (the ruler of Ethiopia), we greeted him (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam), but he did not answer us (during the prayer) and (after finishing the prayer) he (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam) said, "In the prayer one is occupied (with a more serious matter)."
