Bismillah Walhamdulillah Was Salaatu Was Salaam 'ala Rasulillah
As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu
Jihad - 18th Muharram 1428 (7 February 2007)
Narrated Abdullah bin Masud (Radhiallaho anho):
I asked Allah's Messenger (sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam),
"O Allah's Messenger! What is the best deed?" He replied, "To
offer the prayers at their early stated fixed times." I asked,
"What is next in goodness?" He replied, "To be good and dutiful
to your parents." I further asked, what is next in goodness?"
He replied, "To participate in Jihad in Allah's Cause." I did
not ask Allah's Messenger anymore and if I had asked him more,
he would have told me more.

Jihad
Holy fighting in the Cause of Allah or any other kind of
effort to make Allah's Word (i.e Islam) superior. Jihad
is regarded as one of the fundamentals of Islam.
