Hi Collin It is likely that your variogram or correlogram does not reach the sill because your data are spatially correlated. It is well known that Gamma_bar(D,D) <= Sill. (The average value of the variogram over the deposit is less than or equal to the sill).
As for the correlogram -- it is not an artifact as some would have you believe. In fact, the correlogram can be seen as a measure of spatial correlation following the removal of first and second order trends from the data.
