Jul-

You never know the grade out of a stockpile if you just have volume
(tonnage) out. Also stockpiles may segregate by grade, particularly if grade
is variable by size fraction or density. I you have room the best solution
is generally to zero stockpiles often. (i.e. build a stockpile, reclaim it
completely, build another, reclaim it completely, etc. Generally about 1
month is a good target size for each stockpile.) If you have 1 big stockpile
and just build and reclaim from it, you will almost surely have the negative
grade problems you mention.

Subject: AI-GEOSTATS: Stockpile Grade

Dear All,

I am looking for help to calculate stockpile grade. Let assume a
stockpile fed and mined with certain tonnage, then the remaining tonnage
and grade of stockpile is calculated based on survey and sampling on
certain period. It's simply to calculate grade for the in/out material
if just subtract or add tonnage in/out material. However, this
calculation will generate sometime negative result that is not
acceptable.

May be someone could help if there any method to calculate grade that
in/out of stockpile.

Thanks.

Regards,

Jul
