Dear Colleagues
While I am reading gamv.for source code to find answer to some of my
concern, I found it useful to share the following questions with
colleagues over the net.
Number of data: n
Total number of pairs: n(n-1)/2
1. I am expecting number of pairs contributing to zero separation distance
to be n while it is 2n in gamv.out. How come?
2. The structure of gamv.out file is:
row# h \gamma{h} # of pairs in each interval m_h m+h
------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am expecting total number of pairs in column 4 to be n(n-1)/2 but
getting totally a different number even for example files. Am I missing
something?
3. Number of lags and separation distance seem to be dependent if one
specifies either maximum separation distance or any multiple of it. The
program itself could delineate the network topology. How come, the program
asks for both?
4. What does incrementing mean when it comes to irregularly spaced data?
Thanks
Abedini
