Hello all, I'm looking into random number generation for geostatistical simulation. This is not an area of specialization for me, and I wonder if I'm missing some important literature. I am perusing some papers on the computer science side (e.g. http://random.mat.sbg.ac.at/literature/), and a recent article in IJGIS: K. van Niel & S. W. Laffan (2003) Gambling with randomness: the use of pseudo-random number generators in GIS. Int. J. of Geog. Inf. Science 17(1) 49-68.
Are there sources that pertain more specifically to geostatistics that I should be aware of?
