Dear list,
If want to use the whole globe as extent lets say country/region data
with polygon
centers in geographic coordinates (degrees, decimal degrees) and local Kriging:
which software would work correctly (identifying points on the
equator with meridian
360 and 1 degree as relatively close for instance and apply the
correct (ellipsoid)
distance formula everywhere) ?
Can ESRI ArcGIS ArcMap + Geostatistical Analyst do it ?
I get the impression, that many programs want Cartesian, projected coordinates.
