This is great news! That seems to be best, just move admin to new site, keep the old stuff the same, encourage people to update with latest changes.
Aren't there changes though even to other sites, like replacing old markup, etc? Or, should these are still ok for conversion? One idea, is to just make a backup of all widgets to a new site each time, or ask to do this. That would be a great quick backup solution.
