Ok, looks like the problem is that the rewrite base is being written
to config.php and in .htaccess incorrectly as:
in config.php
define("AIKI_REWRITE_BASE", "/assets/apps/installer/installer.php");
in .htaccess
RewriteBase /assets/apps/installer/installer.php
Hope that helps in finding a fix for this problem.
