Ok, the problem was what Suresh suggested yesterday:  I have to run
the xbaya-gui.sh script from the bin directory.  If I do this, then
the System Components (and Amazon) show up correctly.


If I run it from $AIRAVATA_HOME (bin's parent), then I have the
problem described below.
