From: Shane Dempsey <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Dear AIRNEWS member
You may have heard that Tony Smith, senior lecturer at the University of Newcastle, has been seconded to The University's Department of Rural Health from January 2003. The staff at MRS would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Tony on all the work he has done within rural and remote radiography, and wish him every success in assisting our Medical Imaging students and program as part of a multi-professional health team working in areas of northern NSW. Tony will continue being part of MRS at the main campus and his work in northern NSW will allow him to further develop rural and remote radiography research and research opportunities for radiographers in the bush. We will no doubt hear from him on AIRNEWS and at rural conferences in the coming year. Well done Tony. As a result we will be looking for a current or past academic, or an academically minded clinical Medical Imaging Practitioner / Diagnostic Radiographer, to assist us at the Discipline of Medical Radiation Science for a period of time. This opportunity may suit someone who wishes to experience the Newcastle program. Current academics may wish to use a period of study leave to come to Newcastle. It would be suitable for the person to have experience in two of the following modalities: CT, MRI, Sonography, trauma radiography, general radiography, or angiography. Anyone interested should contact me via email for more information at The University of Newcastle.
