I have a better idea - encourage each state to automatically accept registration in any other state for a nominal filing fee - say $25. It is interesting where conversations take you to. The initial comment was to highlite the different costs that locum radiographers have to consider when moving between states to work. If there was a standard fee across all the states then it would be easier to accept but where there is a vast difference in fees and charges, it is difficult to explain. The least expensive is Western Australia and the ACT at Nil $$ per year. The Northern Territory at $25.00/Yr. Tasmania at $80.00 each year. NSW at $82.00 for the first year and $46.00 to renew each year Sth Aust at $101.00 for the first year and $50.50 to renew each year Victoria has a two year registration at $99.00 Qld at $411.00 first year and $257.00 to renew each year. The intention of this discussion is to point out the differences between the states and their costs. Maybe the fees in Qld are set at the most appropiate level and the other states will move their fees to be comparable. Maybe Western Australia has the answer, or is it somewhere in between.??  The fees are taxable, and for most of us, we only have to pay the fees in one state, so it is not a major decision or problem.
