CALL FOR MENTORS
Dear fellow colleagues,
At the request of the student sub committee of the South Australian state branch of the AIR we are seeking Radiographers and Radiation Therapists who are willing to act as mentors/resource point of calls for Medical Radiation university students.
I am calling for anybody who is interested, from anywhere in Australia.
At the University of South Australia, the Medical Radiation course employs a context directed learning (also known as problem based learning) process. Whereby students are given clinical scenarios to work through, and the onus is on them to research / look up the relevant information needed to work through the scenario. These mentors will act as guides to point students in the right direction and to act as a point of resource when students are stuck.
Each mentor may be assigned up to 5 students (less if you wish) and will provide email contacts and/or phone numbers to the students.
If you are interested then send an email to Angelo Katsilis (me) at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and leave your name and contact details. I will then pass the contact details over to the student sub committee for assignment of mentors.
Thank you for your support.
Angelo Katsilis Chairperson SA State Branch of the AIR
