The four institutions, which were chosen out of thirteen applicants, are Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, CA; Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX; University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark; and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Students in RA programs will complete a standardized curriculum at the baccalaureate level or higher. The academic program will be supplemented by a formal clinical preceptorship with a supervising radiologist in order to acquire hands-on skills. The grants are administered through the Albuquerque-based ASRT Research and Education Fund.
