all patients that receive iv contrast media should have their creatinine 
and urea checked (if available) before they are given iv contrast.  We are 
responsible because we are giving the contrast to the patient.

Are any departments routinely performing pre-injection screening of =
patients for potential nephrotoxicity following the planned =
administration of contrast media? I would be interested in receiving =
pre-injection screening policies from anyone who performs this, as one =
of our docs is suggesting that we should screen all of our patients with =
renal function tests prior to administration of contrast media. Pls =
